Combatting Domestic Terrorism in the US

As part of its annual commemoration of the anniversary of the 9/11 attacks, on September 7, the Triangle Center on Terrorism and Homeland Security hosted Thomas Brzozowski, counsel for domestic terrorism at the U.S. Department of Justice. He interacted with students and faculty throughout the day as well as held a public event for the Program in American Grand Strategy and the Triangle Center on Terrorism and Homeland Security at the Sanford School of Public Policy.  Brzozowski has held this position since 2015. He serves as the key point of contact within the U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ) for domestic terrorism matters and coordinates domestic terrorism-related legal and policy issues with the Congress and other federal law enforcement and national security agencies. At the public event, Brzozowski discussed these issues with Sanford School Professor David Schanzer, Director of the Triangle Center on Terrorism and Homeland Security.
